I'm technically on furlough. I'm not unemployed. I'm just sort of on hold I guess. Beyond that I feel very lucky overall.
I don't know anyone who's contracted coronavirus or certainly don't know anyone who's died from it.
So I feel as though I've been very insulated from a lot of this.
I don’t mind being at home so much. I’m at home with my partner, the person I would most choose to be with. So it hasn't been that unpleasant.
I spend a lot of time reaching out to people. It's so easy to forget who's suffering in the corner somewhere. So one good thing that came out of this is that I reconnected with virtually every person that I know.
All of us have been asked to isolate and to do our part but I see evidence of people in my own neighborhood who aren't. People who are gathering in parks and not wearing masks. I see it all the time. Young people in their twenties, 10 of them at a time, all standing together, nobody wearing a mask.
All of us really should be more mindful of what we're being asked to do because it's critical. I mean you're going to kill people if you're not careful.
