I lost pretty much all my business overnight. I never a fear of not being able to pay my bills or pay for things, now it's a real concern.
I am the owner of a destination management and event planning company. I bring groups into New York from all over the world. Before COVID my business was vibrant. I was running all over the city every single day.
One of the other things that I had to deal with during this whole thing is that I have breast cancer for the third time… and my cat has cancer. So it's, you know, it’s been just an incredibly, unbelievable, unbelievably hard year.
I'm really trying to stay positive. I mean it's made me really think about life and what's really important. And if I want to even go back to that level of insanity. I still love what I do. I'm passionate about it, but maybe it doesn't have to be as crazy as it was before. I'm just contemplating my life, like a lot of us are.
I just want to live. I want to be free. See my friends, be face-to-face with people and not have to worry about getting each other sick. I want to hug somebody, you know? Yeah… this is awful.
