We only go to the office to get the mail once a week and I wear a mask and you go through Times Square and there's no one there, it looks like the end of world, like one of those disaster movies with the zombies taking over. There's nobody walking. It’s eerie.
I have a client who owns a clothing store uptown. They were making a small profit before. They've been closed since March. And they’re not going to open again.
It's been a struggle because we can't go to the our monthly clients and some of them have closed anyway. I have two or three stores that are closed. I have a manufacturing company that's closed because someone there has the virus and now it’s locked down. I would think we're going to lose a lot of small clients and a lot of those businesses will never come back.
They keep saying the virus is going to go away. It's not going away and I don't know how long we're going to be working under these conditions.
When Cuomo issued the directive in March we closed the Manhattan office and began working from home. Accounting is deemed an essential business.
